Exciting news from the Clan Council today!  After months of reconstruction efforts, OP4 construction crews have completed repairs on the Sump and it's surrounding beachheads.  The beachhead formerly knows as "Starre" has been re-christened as "Minas" so that the memorial to Starre recently placed near the Dregs can stand as a permanent memory of that fallen hero.

The addition of these new beachheads will provide an important influx of cash to allow for additional building in the Outlands as well as providing a new forward base from which construction can take place.  Clan Council officials are currently in negotiations with the Vulture Pilot's Association in an effort to establish regular direct flights between the Dregs and the Sump in order to greatly decrease travel times between these facilities.

In a related story, a flare-up in the ongoing conflict between Clan Amok and the DesertRats has led the leaders of these Clans to move their home forts deep into distant opposite corners of the Outlands.  Observers are taking this as a sign that these Clans (which have in recent years seemed content to more-or-less co-exist with eachother in the vicinity of Bootcamp) are looking to make more aggressive moves into the Outlands conflicts and may begin to directly challenge the Outlands Clans for control of Terra.

So far our OP4 sources have been strangely silent over questions of whether the completion of the Sump reconstruction may now result in efforts to send repair crews to the site of the original Dregs beachheads.  This may be because the Dregs were much closer to the epicentre of the devastiting earthquakes that struck Terra almost a year ago and the damage there was much more extensive than at the Sump.

Update

Regular express Vulture flights are now taking place between the Dregs, Sump, Amok_Home and DesertRats_Home.  The Clan Council hopes that these high-speed transports will allow Clans to more rapidly expand into the distant corners of the Outlands and generate even more tax income for the central government.

OP4 construction crews have also completed repairs to the Sump Power Plant making the rapid movement of warriors between friendly beachhead forts much easier than was previously possible using the back-up generators being used up to now.
